Dobrila Pintar to exhibit during Chicago Artist Month

Dobrila Pintar will be part of the Open Studios event at Bridgeport Art Center October 21 – 23, 2011.

One of 40 artists
Dobrila is one of 40 artists opening their doors in celebration of Chicago Artist Month. The exhibition opening and reception, “Creative Cornerstones,” is Friday, October 21 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. On Saturday, October 22, there is a panel discussion on the 5th floor from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. From 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. the EastBank Building 100th Anniversary Party will feature a performance by Chicago’s own, Scarlet Monk at 9 p.m. On Sunday, October 23, Open Studio hours are 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. with an “Artful Brunch” at 12 p.m. on the 3rd floor. Bridgeport Art Center is located at 1200 W. 35th St. (entry at 34th Pl. and Racine). For more information call 773-247-3000. Free parking is available at the Bridgeport Art Center for this event.

Historic Location
Built 100 years ago as part of the Spiegel complex, the Bridgeport Art Center is now home to over 40 artists. Artists will be opening their doors during Chicago Artist Month and hosting exhibitions, panel discussions, and music performances.

Dobrila Exhibiting at local block party


Artists and custom jewelry maker, Dobrila Pitar, will be exhibiting at the annual Festival on Prairie Avenue, Saturday, September 10, 2011. The festival location is 18th and Prairie Ave. The family-friendly event is from 12 noon – 6 p.m. Stop by and visit Dobrila to learn about her custom jewelry and find out about her new studio location at the Bridgeport Art Center. Dobrila will be teaching classes and workshops for adults and children. Be sure to ask about her class schedule for this fall and winter.
